Synopsis
She needs this job. He needs her tied to his bed and screaming his name.
Lizzy Wilder is desperate to stay in New York City with her sister Kat, the one person she trusts. Lizzy's only hope is a programming internship at hot tech startup Odyssey. But there's a problem: the company's CEO is enigmatic billionaire Nick Marlowe--the impossibly sexy one night stand she never expected to see again.
Nick stays in control of his life. He doesn't f*** interns. Period. If Lizzy wants to work at Odyssey, she needs to keep things platonic.
She tries. Hard. But the connection they shared, the way he captivated her-- there's no way her body or her heart will allow her to forget him. There's no way she can work under him without working under him.
Can she risk the job she needs for the man she wants? And can she really handle being under his control if he wants her too?
I usually really love billionaire boss novels, but this book was pretty flat in my opinion. It was missing some aspects that I enjoy, like alternating points of view between the male and female protagonists. I love love LOVE reading the man's POV...and all I got here was the woman's POV...and it was a whiny one at that. Lizzy is annoying...so annoying and a stalker! And she's 19 years old! There is way too much dirty talk between this TEENAGER and a "grown" man for my liking. I usually don't get all judge-y like this...but Lizzy is whiny and annoying like a stereotypical teenager. I totally believe that a 19 year old can be mature - Lizzy is totally not that. Also, too many people using the term "eye-fuck" - that term is NOT a common one. And every time Nick opens his mouth...he sounds like an asshole. It was way too close to "Grey" territory than I would like. Ew.
Ultimately, I could not finish the book. It was too much whining...not enough romance for me.
**I also do not know why the cover is different than what NetGalley posted is the title....
