I have previously enjoyed Tui Snider's writing in the forms of spooky Texas locations (check out that review here). So I knew I had something to look forward to when it came to the Santa Claus Bank Robbery. What I found was a truly interesting story of a bank heist with a thief half-dressed as a Santa Claus. If that weren't interesting and entertaining enough, Snider's writing, told with her signature humor, made the storytelling that much better!

I am a huge fan of true crime, and having read/watched/listened to so many stories, I know true crime can be quite violent and harsh for some people to take in. I am happy to say that Santa Claus Bank Robbery is none of those things and instead provides a look into Texas' past instead of any details that may be "too much" for some readers. While still being a true crime book, I would classify it more under history - in case any reader is a bit squeamish about any details they may find.  However, it was truly a glimpse into the past - something quite enjoyable for any Texan or historian to read into!

Honestly, what makes this story so great to read is the writing by Snider. Her conversation-like writing style makes the pages fly by and every turn so enjoyable. Every photo and extra detail simply adds to the overall presentation - the cherry on top of the sundae, if you will. I recommend this for all readers - it's a great book to get lost in!

You nailed it! It's interesting content but it's Tui's personal touch that's the cherry on top. Thanks for the review!

Thank you for reviewing my book! And I especially appreciate your comment on the genre leaning more towards history than true crime. That is so helpful for me to hear, and in retrospect seems obvious. :)

Another terrific review of the book. The fun of blog tours is getting to find different facets of the same book presented. Sure to entice readers.
