| This book had a little bit of everything. Kat Ramsay has to come to terms with the "dimension-hopping" gift she seems to have. It was during one of those hops when she met Matthew Ryan during their college years. After a hot night, and more than one misunderstanding, Kat unknowingly leaves Matt with a curse - Matt will not find any satisfaction with any other woman. Oh how I loved this book! It sparked the love I have for YA and witches! And seriously, it seems like 2017 could use some witches... Samantha returns to her father's hometown, Salem, Massachusetts, while her father remains in a mysterious coma. Samantha, however, does not receive a warm welcome since she is a direct descendant of Cotton Mather, one of the men responsible for the witch trials. Weird things start happening to the descendants of those exact witch trials - is it a curse? Plus, Samantha is startled to find that a ghost lives in her home. I loved....loved this book! It had all the spookiness of the stories I used to read when I actually was a young adult lol. There's a mystery and a ghost! This read really took me back to how it feels to really get entranced by a story. Mather did a wonderful job with the atmosphere of this story. I can't wait to read more. |
