Review
I jumped at the chance to review this book because I have a thing for fae worlds. Unfortunately, I had not had the chance to read the first book in this series, Forests of the Fae: Devlin's Door. So, I had to take a little looking into that book so I could immerse myself into this world.
What I found was a well-rounded story of fantasy and some mystery. The characters and their stories are detailed, and we all know (well, if you frequent this site at all) how much I love characters who have actual personalities/qualities. There is also just enough "dark" to this story to have caught my attention. In my opinion, the story rides a fine line between fantasy and horror - but it's always been a combination and "flip flop" that I've enjoyed. I think I will take the time soon to go back and properly read the first book, so I know that I didn't miss anything!

K. (Kristine) Kibbee is a Pacific Northwest writer with a fascination for all things literary. Kristine’s passion for creative writing began in her early youth and led her to the doors of Washington State University, where she earned a degree in Humanities, with a focus in Professional Writing. Kristine followed her scholarly pursuit of writing with published works in The Vancougar, The Salal Review Literary Review, Just Frenchies magazine, and S/Tick Literary Review. She is presently a regular columnist for Terrier Group magazine.

The first installment in her YA fantasy series, “Forest of the Fae-Devlin’s Door,” was released in early 2016 with Incorgnito.
