I was so happy to receive these wicked reads from Penguin Teen! I'm looking forward to digging in to Julie C. Dao's work that I hear is based on Snow White - but from the evil queen's perspective? Yes, please! Let's take a look at the first book's synopsis:

Ohhhh, this sounds fantastic! It sounds like a perfect fall read as we progress from Halloween to Day of the Dead to winter time. I don't know about you all, but I think dark reads like this one can be enjoyed at any time! And what better to enjoy them with than to have something nice and hot to drink by your side? And don't forget the sweet baked goodies!

I'm currently out of commission with a hip strain, so my husband was an angel to pick these up for me: a birthday cake pop, a slice of pumpkin loaf, and hot chocolate from Starbucks! Since we just got back from our Disneyland vacation, I insisted on drinking out of my new Haunted Mansion Disneyland mug!
