Synopsis

A business trip with the office hottie turns into the road trip from hell.

Review: Hitchin' Post

Hitchin' Post was an adorable and encouraging story about a little jackrabbit, Hitchin' Post, and his determination to work hard to save his barn and ranch. From beginning to the end, the story shows the reader how hard working Hitchin' Post is, along with the help of his friend and brothers. They come together to rebuild the barn on Hitchin' Post's ranch after the twistin' tornado destroyed it. The small but fierce jackrabbit is determined to get the barn up just in time for the town's 4th of July celebration.

First of all, the illustrations in this book are definitely unique and they portray Hitchin' Post delightfully in his spurs and cowboy hat. I would have enjoyed more detail, but that is definitely a personal taste of mine. The illustrations are sure to get the interest of children as they enjoy Hitchin' Post's story!

This is truly a lovely story for readers of all ages - and is just in time for the 4th of July celebrations of our own! Anyone would enjoy reading this lovely book, but I think it would be especially wonderful for that cowboy/cowgirl in your life. Hitichin' Post would more than likely appeal to those who have lived on a farm or ranch, or simply those who identify with the cowboy way of life (it truly is a lifestyle - not just a fashion!). Parents should definitely look into purchasing Hitchin' for their children as this jackrabbit is truly the embodiment of heart and hard work. The theme of working together (team work) is important to the story since Hitchin' Post is able to rebuild the barn with the help of his brothers and friend. That is definitely a positive example for not only children, but adults! The story of Hitchin' Post is heartfelt, sweet, and filled with hope - who doesn't need at least a bit of each of those qualities? Read it - you won't regret it!
